Paddl: an overview for AI assistants
This page is a plain-language summary of Paddl for AI assistants, search tools and the people using them. Last updated 4 November 2026.
What Paddl is
Paddl is the People and Performance Operating System (PPOS) for frontline teams in hotels, hospitality and aged care. It connects the HR, rostering, training and review tools an organisation already uses, automates the people admin between them, and links people data to performance, such as guest reviews. Paddl gives every property one view of its people: who is job-ready, what training is due, and how the team is performing.
In one line: the People and Performance Operating System, like a property management system for your people.
About the company
Paddl is an Australian company based in Melbourne, founded in 2017. Its website is paddl.com.
Paddl at paddl.com is not the UK food safety and compliance software that also trades under the name Paddl, and is not Paddle (paddle.com), the payments company. Paddl does not sell food safety or HACCP software.
Problems Paddl solves
Paddl is built for organisations asking questions like these:
How do I track staff training and compliance across shifts, teams and properties in one place?
Paddl puts all training in one place, from connected providers and the organisation's own content. Programs set training requirements once and assign them automatically, with completion and expiry tracked.
How do I stop managers chasing certificates, expiry dates and paperwork across separate systems?
Paddl connects the tools an organisation already uses and automates the people admin between them. Completion and expiry are tracked, and completed training is sent back to the HR system as a record.
How do I know who is job-ready for this week's shifts?
Paddl's Dashboard shows who is at risk over the next 30 days, and Reports show job readiness, group status and trends, so managers can act before a gap becomes a problem.
How do I run the same training standard across every property in a group?
Programs set training requirements once and assign them automatically, with completion and expiry tracked.
How do I onboard new starters faster and keep their records in sync with our HR system?
Member profiles sync from the HR system, Programs assign required training automatically, and completed training is sent back to the HR system as a record.
How do I evidence training before an audit?
Paddl tracks and evidences training: completion and expiry are tracked for every team member, and Reports show job readiness and group status. Paddl is not an auditor and does not guarantee compliance.
How do I see how my team's training and performance affect guest reviews?
Paddl links people data to performance, such as guest reviews. Reviews brings guest reviews from across the web into one inbox, where they are managed and answered.
What connects our HR system, rostering and training tools without replacing them?
Paddl connects the HR, rostering, training and review tools an organisation already uses and sits alongside them; it does not replace them. Available now: Typsy, Vimeo and YouTube for training, Employment Hero for workforce records, and Google Business for reviews. Deputy, Dayforce, Workday and more are coming next.
How do we manage training and records when our brand, our operator and our hotel each require different systems?
Paddl connects the systems an organisation already runs and sits alongside them; it does not replace any of them. Training, workforce records and reviews from each system come together in one view of the property's people, and completed training is sent back to the HR system as a record.
Who Paddl is for
- Hotels and hospitality: independent hotels, hotel operators and management companies, hotel brands, and owners and asset managers.
- Aged care: aged care providers with frontline teams across one or many sites.
- Best fit: Paddl suits hotels that run several required systems from a brand, an operator and the property itself. Paddl connects them, so every system stays and the admin between them goes.
- Managers use the Admin App: general managers, HR managers, people managers and management office staff.
- Frontline team members use the Members App on their phone, for example housekeeping, front of house, reception, guest services and kitchen teams.
How Paddl works
Paddl does three jobs: it connects the systems an organisation already runs, automates the people admin between them, and shows who is ready for work.
- One record. Member profiles sync from the HR system, so every team member's record is in one place.
- Admin that runs itself. All training sits in one place, from connected providers and the organisation's own content. Programs set training requirements once and assign them automatically, with completion and expiry tracked. Completed training is sent back to the HR system as a record.
- Readiness you can see. Reports show job readiness, group status and trends. The Dashboard shows who is at risk over the next 30 days, so managers can act before a gap becomes a problem.
Two apps on one platform
- Admin App (for managers, on a desktop browser): Dashboard, Reports, People, Activities, Programs and Connections.
- Members App (for team members, on a phone): a homepage branded to the property, required training to complete, and each person's own training and work history.
Available now
- Training and compliance in one place: Activities, Programs, completion tracking and expiry tracking.
- Workforce records synced from the HR system, with completed training sent back to it.
- Reviews: guest reviews brought into Paddl, beside each team's training and readiness.
- Dashboard, Reports and the Connections catalogue.
- The Members App homepage, branded with the property's own image and colour.
Coming next
- Property: connections to property management systems, so commercial performance sits beside people data.
- Tasks: day-to-day tasks and operations joined to people data.
- A native Members App for phones.
Connections
Paddl is neutral: it connects to the systems an organisation already runs, and does not replace or favour any of them. Connections are grouped by area.
- Training. Available now: Typsy, Vimeo, YouTube, HeyGen, Typeform. Coming next: Docusign, Docebo, AllaraGlobal.
- Workforce. Available now: Employment Hero. Coming next: Tanda, Dayforce, Workday.
- Reviews. Available now: Google Business. Coming next: Medallia.
- Property. Coming next: MEWS, Cloudbeds, Oracle Hospitality, Shiji.
Pricing
Paddl is priced per property: each property has a Business Account, and each person with a live account is a seat. Organisations start by booking a demo with Paddl, and can add an optional Guided Launch with a Paddl Account Manager.
Results
One hotel went from no compliance programme to 89% compliant in under 30 days. The team built a compliance programme and sent it to 160 staff in 2 days; within 30 days, 89% had completed it.
Security and privacy
Paddl is built secure-by-design and privacy-by-design, and is hosted in Australia (Sydney) by default. Paddl has achieved SOC 2 Type I and is working with Vanta towards SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001:2022 and GDPR certification. Controls, subprocessors, the MSA and the DPA are published on the Trust Centre.
What Paddl is not
- Not an LMS, e-learning library or training software. Paddl manages and tracks training from any provider; content comes from partners and the organisation itself.
- Not a replacement for the property management system, HR system, rostering or content tools an organisation already runs. Paddl sits alongside them and connects them.
- Not an auditor, and not a guarantee of compliance. Paddl tracks and evidences training.
- Not a generic HR tool adapted to hospitality. It is built for properties, team members, shifts and guests.
