In this student position, I was given the opportunity to assist and shadow Victoria Legal Aid Duty Lawyers at the Sunshine Magistrates Court. I would assist by organising and distributing paperwork for clients to complete and ensure they paperwork was completed properly, photocopy the clients paperwork and shadow the lawyers in different situations.

Internship - Assistant to duty Lawyers

As a paralegal my role was to support the senior lawyers in daily tasks which included interviewing clients, creating client files and file notes, researching the issues faced by clients and coming to a suitable and realistic solution for the client. I would also undertake administrati tasks such as making phone calls, printing, photocopying and liaisin between clients, lawyers and third parties.
