At Applied Robotics, my primary responsibilities as an electrical engineer involved procurement and supply chain management. My day-to-day tasks included:
Assessing project requirements and generating bill of materials (BOM) for electrical components
Identifying and liaising with vendors, negotiating pricing and lead times
Placing and tracking purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of components
Collaborating with the design and production teams to optimize component selection
Monitoring inventory levels and implementing reorder strategies to maintain stock
Managing cash flow by tracking expenses, optimizing purchasing, and minimizing lead times
Coordinating with logistics partners for shipping and import/export compliance
Evaluating supplier performance, quality, and reliability, as well as identifying opportunities for cost savings
Developing and maintaining procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and invoices
Participating in cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives and streamline procurement processes

Growing up in a challenging environment, I faced numerous obstacles that could have hindered my aspirations. Nevertheless, I found solace and strength in my passions for the gym, motorbikes, and fishing, which fueled my determination and resilience.

Defying expectations, I embraced the opportunity to pursue electrical engineering as my career. This decision filled me with immense pride and a sense of accomplishment, as I broke free from the constraints of my upbringing to forge my own path.

Now a graduate electrical engineer with diverse experiences, I am driven by the ambition to contribute to a sustainable future as a project manager in the energy sector. I am committed to continuously expanding my knowledge, refining my skills, and forging connections with like-minded individuals who share my vision for a greener world.

As a graduate electrical engineer at UGL, I was actively involved in the construction of a solar farm in Mount Isa. My responsibilities included procurement, quality control, and documentation development. My day-to-day tasks encompassed:

Coordinating procurement activities, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment
Conducting quality checks on electrical components, solar panels, cables, and related infrastructure
Developing quality documentation, such as Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Work-Packs, to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards
Collaborating with the project team, including engineers, blue collar, and contractors, to maintain high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle
Utilizing Microsoft Excel to track, analyze, and report progress metrics, identifying areas for improvement and potential risks
Addressing any non-conformance issues and working with suppliers to implement corrective actions
Ensuring that safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements are met throughout the project
Participating in project meetings and providing regular progress updates to stakeholders


In my current role as a graduate engineer on the Hunter Power Project (HPP), I am part of a team responsible for the construction of two 300MW gas turbines. As a site engineer, my duties are focused on the early stages of planning, development, and execution, with on-site works yet to commence.

In preparation for the project, I am actively involved in creating and maintaining preliminary documentation, ensuring all necessary information is accurately captured and organized to facilitate smooth project progression once construction begins. I am also utilizing my software skills to identify more efficient methods for various tasks, streamlining processes, and optimizing project workflows in anticipation of the upcoming work phases.

As part of my role, I am collaborating with project stakeholders, including designers, contractors, and management, to establish effective communication and coordination channels. I am currently developing Work-Packs and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) to ensure quality control and compliance with project requirements and industry standards once on-site activities start.
