I completed my Bachelor of Science majoring in Microbiology and Biochemistry from one of the top universities in India, St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Mumbai, India, thereby having studied microscopic forms of life such as bacteria viruses and protozoa in addition to studying the biochemistry of living organisms and the molecular structure and function of related components with a strong research focus through various projects conducted in the laboratory. Recently I completed my Master of Biotechnology and Management course at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia. This course helped me understand proteomics and genomics, various cloning methods, protein purification methods, improve my scientific communication, writing and analysing skills via a combination of theory, hands-on and technique intensive learning. The integration of this course with management subjects helped me widen my knowledge and acquire bio-business and strategic management skills. Thus, equipping me with the skills needed to work and be successful in a highly competitive biotechnology industry. Throughout my Bachelor's and Master's degree, I have designed and conducted experiments, made observations and measurements, researched information and analysed data and prepared scientific papers and laboratory reports. On completion of my Master's degree I was looking forward to gain some commercial experience in the real world outside of university, on applying for an internship opportunity in a commercial sector I was selected for a 3 month internship at Symbio Laboratories, Melbourne.  I am committed to the pursuit of knowledge, my objective is to build a long-term career in scientific research, operation and management, but before studying further I want to expand my knowledge through practical experience in the real world and gain job satisfaction through my contribution to the greater well-being of the society and improving lives.
