I am Jean, a **Human-Centred Designer** who sees the glass half full, feels energized when empowering individuals and enjoys figuring out the right problems to solve ala Sherlock Holmes. ;)

Thanks to my dual education in _**Materials & Environmental Engineering**_ and _**Service Design**_, I can seamlessly switch between my logical and intuitive mindset. My experience of moving solo to Australia has also reinforced my adaptability and resilience. I feel most connected when I'm leading or contributing to projects using a holistic approach to enhance the experience of all the stakeholders. These are my proudest projects as to date:

**Built the usability testing capability of a charity to prepare them on their succeeding product iteration**.
Anika Legal is building an online platform that will provide free legal advice to those who are financially in need and address the huge demand for practical training of law students. 

**Developed a prototype On-Boarding Handbook to empower patients to track their own health and recovery, a proactive approach to personal health management**.
Carrington Health is looking at ways to improve access to Chronic Health Disease Management services where customer needs are the priority while retaining their valuable business. 

**Created and facilitated a behavior change project called 'I have my own bag Challenge' to influence habit formation of reusing eco-bags and refusing single-use plastics**.
In 2017, Initiatives of Change launched its first Sustainable Impact Mentoring Program to empower young leaders in the environment and sustainability fields. 

**Transformed an old horse stable into a tiny house made of upcycled materials to kickstart an 'Art Meets Farming' community**.
For years, Laura's family has an underutilized space at their property. I volunteered as a Sustainable Solutions Designer and applied project management methods and resource efficiency techniques to develop a greener layout and support construction activities.

I'm always on the lookout for opportunities and conversations about creating a positive impact on society through design, so please feel free to reach out.

On a personal note, my friends describe me as warm, honest, determined, and curious. Aside from keeping an active lifestyle and challenging myself to cook whatever I find delicious on YouTube, I also enjoy learning productivity hacks and watching TED talks.
