Worked in a diverse team of both Australians and Indonesians, where we were tasked with analysis and research the bilateral anti-corruption efforts being undertaking both within the Indonesian Government and the  bilateral efforts between Australia and Indonesia. This role involved formulating a report to be presented to my host organisation on the effectiveness of anti-corruption policies.

My interest in pursuing a career in public policy, particularly social welfare and economic policy, is driven by my upbringing and the values that I have gained from coming from regional Australia. Through seeing first hand how social inequality and the lack of opportunity can inhibit people's potential and ability to thrive, I developed a strong belief in egalitarianism and practice the values of respect, compassion and empathy.  

I placed these values into practice through volunteering for Deakin University's PEER Mentoring Program, where I provided support for new students and their transition to tertiary education and where to find university support services.

Throughout my studies, internships and work experiences I have gained personal attributes in effective communication, adaptability, teamwork and being able to apply myself in a fast-paced environment and use my initiative and critical thinking skills to resolve and overcome issues that I may face. 

Throughout my degree I have prided myself for being outgoing and exposing myself to other cultures. This is reflected in my studies in Spanish and Indonesian and travelling abroad for educational and internship experiences, such as Indonesia and South America. My overseas commitments have been recognised through being a recipient of Deakin University's 'Global Citizenship Certificate'.
