My name is Pallavi Verma, and I have recently graduated with a Master of Information and Communications Technology (Advanced) from the Western Sydney University, Parramatta Campus. Additionally, I have also been honoured with being included on Dean’s Merit list for academic year 2017 and 2018 as I attained a GPA of 6.87 (on a 7.0 point scale) in my course. In 2016, I graduated as a gold medallist (university topper) with a Bachelor of Computer Applications from India. Apart from excelling in academics during school and college, I have outshined by winning various literary events (such as turn coat, extempore, British parliamentary debate, group discussion), and several cultural events (including solo dance, choreography, nukkad natak, and group dance). I love to interact with people, deliver presentations, and organise events. I become very excited when it comes to public speaking. I have delivered about 70 presentations till now. Delivering speeches and hosting various events during school and university has helped me in polishing my interpersonal skills, and boosting my confidence. 

I possess strong technical skills which I have developed during my masters and bachelors qualification. During my graduation, I had developed a desktop application as a part of my major project (for my father, who is a gold smith). That application calculates the price of ornament on the basis of current gold price and weight or ornament. For that project, I was praised by my professor, and after that, I decided to pursue my career in application development. I chose to study Masters of Information and Communications Technology (Advanced) because I am passionate to develop more desktop and mobile applications. 
	
One of the best experience of my life is getting awarded with "Wg. Cdr. H S Gill Memorial Gold Medal", for being the best all round student of the year 2015-2016, at annual convocation organised by Punjab College of Technical Education. This was possible because I have achieved top rank in university examinations, won numerous cultural and literary events in college. This award has motivated me to always be confident and have trust on myself so that I can do exceptionally well in future.

In addition to this, my current job at IT Service Desk is more oriented towards customer service, interacting with people, paying attention to detail, and problem-solving. This job has helped me a lot to enhance my team work, problem-solving and time management skills.
