The SAM Ambassador program is a four-month paid traineeship opportunity for young people aged 18-25 to gain first-hand experience planning and delivering an arts focused program in a nationally significant arts institution, Shepparton Art Museum. In the program, I am currently:

• Conducting guerrilla market research by gathering visitor feedback about current public programs, while identifying gaps in Shepparton Art Museum's public programs
• Planning a project with a small budget as part of Shepparton Art Museum's public programs
• Conducting front of house tasks by providing visitors with information about the museum, making sure that they do not damage artworks and reporting issues
• Taking the initiative to prepare notes of my observations and learnings from the traineeship for other Ambassadors to reference
• Gaining skills in audio visual set up
