Borderless connects students from international universities to collaborate digitally and address some of the global problems economists face today. Recently, UQ students paired up with students from the University of Exeter to address the specific tasks below.

After working together via a number of digital platforms over a five-week period, teams submitted their work via video to a panel of international judges. The students remained in various geographical locations throughout the whole competition, never meeting in person.

I am the Chair of the Executive Committee and hold meetings and coordinate the scheduling of meetings. Overseeing all UQ Executive Committee members and managing email accounts and social media. o	Have team Building exercises to promote teamwork between the Filipino Clubs in Queensland. I also handle the emails for sponsorships and partnerships for the club.

I proudly hold a Masters of Economics from The University of Queensland as a recent graduate. My interest in numbers stems from the need to know how the world works through numbers. With my diverse background from being born in the Philippines, studying my Bachelor’s in China, then expanding my knowledge in Australia; I have been exposed to various cultures and observed each country’s economic development. I am very comfortable in using numbers, creating business models, researching or reading journal articles, and I am very enthusiastic to learn something new from anyone. Combining what I have learned thus far and to apply them to solve real-world problems has always been my dream. Delving deeper into theoretical concepts to obtain answers and learning how to live sustainably with scarce resources are familiar to me. In an unpredictable and fast-paced world, I am confident in adapting to the changes in my surroundings and meeting the highest standards of safety and performance across my discipline. Additionally, I love exercising and watching random documentaries. In short, I want a life that's bigger than every person whoever told me I can't and look back on the fears I will leave behind to make it happen.

I handle in-going and outgoing emails to potential partners or sponsors. I attend weekly meetings with the whole TEDxUQ Team to discuss our budget, catering, Partnership Tiers, and Prospectus leading up to our main event later this year. I draft proposals and research companies that we can collaborate with to help support TEDx's values.

The main target sector of focus would be the financial service industry as per requested.

My team was tasked to do an intensive analysis of the social impacts of breast cancer in young women reported in the literature, with a focus on the quantified impacts. A selection of six prominent social impacts was explored namely quality of life and psychological impacts, body image, employment and career, fertility, sexuality, intimate relationships, and children and family.

I was given numerous tasks by my mentor to improve my career prospects and talk about my plans for the future. I was also one of the chosen to have a coach from ICF (International Coaching Federation) in guiding me what I really want for myself. This program helped me be grateful for the present and not always think of multiple futures that have yet to happen.

and helped my manager/supervisor beyond retail (cleaned the shop, pick up and dropped off items, care for their health, etc). My other tasks include technical registration, cashier management, and customer service.

Retail Assistant (Volunteer)

I worked together in a team to help Ozcare to reach a sustainability goal of enriching the lives of dementia patients. Did aged care market research on local and international demands and compared the different statistical data and census. We concluded on reasons why Australia has a weaker market than the rest of the world, thus making suggestions on how to improve Ozcare’s competitiveness.

I recorded minutes of meetings. These include key decisions made, deliverable outcomes of members on the Executive Committee, etc.
Published post-event feedback surveys and prepared all written materials for the club along with hosting events throughout the year and engaged with member-to-member social gatherings.
