Working with Loxton community to create a 10-year vision for the town’s revitalisation. Involved as an external consultant providing capacity building workshops, community development, and project management. Responsible for working with the youth to develop their entrepreneurial vision – encompassing the establishment of a youth social centre, a tertiary education campus and a co-working space.

Business Development and Operations Officer

Startup founder and entrepreneurship graduate with three years of experience in business development, operations, and project management across the social business and space sectors. Projects include the establishment of social business and training centres, and building small satellites for research in microgravity. 
 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience in pitching to large audiences, developing marketing material, and implementing internal processes. Skilled in succinctly explaining novel technologies to a variety of audiences. Trained in conflict resolution and peer mediation and able to adapt and work in fast-paced environments with a strong focus on engagement

My strengths lie in business administration, operations, and development of key company documents such as pitch decks, business plans, and proposals. I have experience in preparing grant and funding applications as well as proposals and applications for a variety of other programs

Working with ResearchSat, Wright Technologies and Cognito Foundation has enabled me to develop a strong sense of self-confidence and my practical skills. My work with startups has also enabled me to develop strategic partnerships with government, industry, and academic bodies, working on projects with tight deadlines.

On a personal level I believe I have high levels of empathy, I am good at connecting with people through clear communication, openness and honesty, and I am a team player who can also act as a mediator in situations where there is conflict within the team.

Led the team on projects in Dhaka and rural Bangladesh, resulting in the opening of five permanent social business hubs, and partnerships with key universities. Accountable for projects with the SA Government and local stakeholders, delivering entrepreneurship education and web resources for students in northern Adelaide. Looked after a community of 300 students across Australia and Bangladesh.

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the startup, including legal, finance, and marketing. Developed and delivered pitch and presentation packs to a range of external stakeholders. Implemented internal processes, and built a database of company documents and marketing material. Responsible for stakeholder management, engaging with clients from industry, government, and academia.
