Madeleine is a professional registered Art therapist with Anzacata. Madeleine holds a Master of Art therapy from La Trobe University. Her Art Therapy practice is informed by current and emerging research. She has extensive experience working in groups and individual sessions, in the mental health sector. She works with a range of clients, children, adolescents and adults. The way she works, is guided and determined by the needs of her clients. She believes in the importance of observation and listening to her clients as they are the experts of their ‘lived experience’. Her therapeutic approach is underpinned by theories of child development, trauma, attachment theory and relationship -based learning. She is a patient centred art therapist and believes that everyone should have a meaning and purpose in life. She provides a safe, non-judgemental space, that allows her clients the freedom to explore their emotions creatively, socially interact, achieve insight, develop interpersonal skills while implementing a learning experience through the creative process.

 I am highly skilled and trained in Art Therapy and Counselling. I have extensive experience working with culturally diverse children, adolescents and adults in individual and group sessions in the mental health sector.
