Currently I am a Mechanical Engineering student at Griffith University apart of Women in Engineering, Engineers without borders and Griffith University Student consultive committee.


My key skills include:
STRONG COMMUNICATION SKILLS: evidenced in being awarded 1st in the Griffith University Mooting (mock law) competition

TEAMWORK AND LEADERSHIP: evident in being a School Vice Captain, student counsel and member of Griffith University Student consultive committee

QUICK AND ADAPTABLE LEARNER: evident in my school grades (OP 3), Griffith Sir Samuel Scholarship, Griffith Honours College

COMMITMENT AND PERSISTENCE: evident in training for and completing the Gold Coast 96km Kokoda Challenge

SOCIAL AWARENESS evident in receiving the Principal’s Award for service to the community three times.


Notably, my project ‘Traffic to Electricity’ received CSIRO Bronze CREST Award for Creativity in Research, Engineering, Science and Technology.  With the demand for reliable electricity supply and concern for Global Warming, I developed a new renewable method for generating electricity, specifically for the Gold Coast. My project utilizes the movement of cars on the road going over a road bump to generate and store electricity. My project ‘Traffic to Electricity’ received a third in the regional competitions, allowing me to compete in the QLD BHP Billiton, CSIRO Science and Engineering competition.
