As a Student Mentor, I am a student representative responsible for providing information to the university community and assisting students with academic needs. I encourage students to actively think and motivate them to comprehend the entirety of what is expected academically, rather than giving students the answers to all their questions. I have always been a very organised and motivated person with the ambition to be successful. I gain satisfaction by making things flow and helping people achieve their own goals and happiness. So naturally, event management is my calling.

I have experience in event assistance including the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival and the Avalon Airshow. In 2019, I completed an event marketing and promotions internship in Canada with PL3Y International. Also in 2019, I completed a semester abroad in the UK, where I specialised in marketing plan development through working closely with local Yorkshire companies.

Most recently, I hosted a virtual event as part of my studies in which I was responsible for team management, marketing and promotions and liaising with stakeholders. Graded by an industry professional, the event was awarded a High Distinction and gained a total reach of 3,322 unique profiles across a 4-week period.

I will graduate with a Bachelor of Business, majoring in event management, at the end of 2020. I seek a career in event coordinating within the entertainment industry. I am currently on the journey of experiencing my path there.

As a Front of House Manager, I am responsible for venue management for tri-weekly live music events; includes elements such as organising ticketing, communicating with performers appropriately and managing customer experience on-site with a positive attitude.

As part of my studies, I hosted a virtual event to promote self-care in isolation. My role as marketing manager naturally expanded to the event manager and team leader as the original manager did not appropriately communicate and collaborate with the event team. I managed internal and external stakeholders including staff, sponsors, artists and media to ensure our stakeholders had clarity.
