DESCRIPTIVE SUMMARY: As a soon-to-be graduate from Murdoch University, I am hoping to find a position that relates to my own personal interests and provides valuable industry experience.
In my years at university, I have had extensive experience in assisting with a wide variety of activities. Most notably, I acted as Secretary, Social Media manager, and Treasurer for Murdoch Japanese Society; responsibilities included communicating with international and domestic students and providing information regarding activities, utilising various online platforms to reach wider audiences for event promotion and organisation, and managing and coordinating finances. Through this my interpersonal and online management skills were greatly utilised; I would love the opportunity to further develop my knowledge and abilities.
My experience within customer service and management –although not extensive–allowed me to develop easily transferrable skills.
Over 2009 to 2012 I participated at the bi-yearly St Boniface Book Fair event in which I was tasked with multiple different responsibilities such as providing cleaning and organising services, sales assistance, and promotional activities.
Similarly, I acted as an assistant to Smales Jewellers in Bunbury in 2010; I experienced light training in jewellery manufacturing and sales and provided assistance when requested.
My capacity to follow directions, act independently, and continue productivity towards current goals has carried on into my university years and until now. These aforementioned experiences maintain transferrable skills that I am confident will complement the workplace and environment perfectly.
