About Vanessa

I am in my final year of University studying a Bachelor of Business majoring in Entrepreneurship and Marketing, and have a certificate IV in Leadership and Management.
I am a confident, reliable and motivated young woman, who takes pride in the work I do. My key attributes include being reliable, committed and driven. I have sound problem solving skills and work well under pressure. I am happy working in teams or individually on projects. I am committed to providing the best possible customer service and have a warm and enthusiastic can-do attitude. I have an interest in marketing and what can be achieved with a sound marketing strategy and plan, and I wish to be able to help small and medium sized businesses grow and thrive. I am excited to use and refine the skills I learnt at university going into the future, along with developing new ones and growing as a person. Throughout my final semester at university I have been working with a start-up company for an innovation class, working on increasing their customers base and awareness. This has lead to us creating three new potential marketing strategies and changes that the business can feasibly implement. I have also volunteered with a business coach, working on a small rural company's marketing efforts, business practices and more. Discovering what areas they do well, where requires improvement and what they need to implement to become more efficient. Finally, I have volunteered with the Melbourne Fringe Festival and with the RMIT Student Union at the Realfoods cafe, admin and in events. These have developed and refined my interpersonal, communication and team work skills, along with improving and enhancing my customer service skills, approach and customer first mentality. My volunteering experience has led me to work with people from a variety of backgrounds who possess different skill levels, helping myself to grow as a person and learn how to best interact with people and ensure efficiency, workplace happiness and customer service is maintained.
