I am a goal-oriented, responsible and committed second-year student pursuing a double degree in Accounting and Actuarial Science. I have a strong interest in auditing, economics & management consulting. In October 2018, I was invited to attend the Undergraduate Development Day at RSM Melbourne where I was able to learn more about what Accountants do on a day to day basis, as well as the variety of services lines and career paths available in the industry. In February 2019, my team won the CLAP Summer Case Competition Program run by the Young Australian Problem Solver (YAPS) throughout which I received hands-on training and experiences into the field of Management Consulting while also contributed to the high impact growth of all the businesses I was working with.
During my time at university, I enjoy working with students and young people. Economics Student Society of Australia (ESSA) is a student-led organisation that I am devoted to at Monash University. My role as the Education Officer at ESSA involves organising and delivering Economics-related seminars and Subject Overviews to enhance students’ academic engagement in the field. I have also worn many other hats throughout my part-time/casual jobs and extra-curricular activities – event coordinator, fast food crew member, student advisor, liaison officer and research analyst – and as a result, I have a unique ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects and to navigate complex challenges. All of these have positively added to my university experience thus far.
