My name is Maria Fernanda Linares, I'm currently studying Digital media at Victoria University. I possess a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations which helped me polish my communication skills in professional terms that were later enhanced by gaining experience in past jobs and freelance projects. Additionally, I gained experience in all aspects of marketing, management and production disciplines. I have worn many hats in my career and my journey spans throughout the event planning, production, and digital media field.
I love photography and filming. I consider myself a psychology enthusiast so in my downtime, you can usually catch me reading psychology books or watching documentaries. I'm fascinated by storytelling in any form it is delivered could be a book, a film, a web series, an ad or even a song, I believe it has had a big influence on my life and the type of 'candid and unapologetic' stories are the ones that have touched me to the very core.
Working at music festivals and volunteering at film festivals have taught me how an incredibly well-crafted story about someone you might not know personally can resonate with your challenges, fears, temporary highs and insecurities which has made of me a perpetual follower/creator of stories, and most importantly has led me to believe that the power of storytelling is undeniably shaping society for the better and mold us into agents of change. I also enjoy editing, designing and writing. So far I've been lucky enough to be involved in projects that have allowed me to challenge myself and learn more from my own abilities.
Here are the links to some of my most exciting projects, although they are mostly independent ones, I believe they are worth sharing. As a content creator, I feel that my work speaks better for itself and would venture to say that my videos are a clear proof of what I seek to transmit to the viewer.
